If you have forgotten or lost your KoboToolbox password, you can reset it from the login page.

Resetting your password

To reset your password:

  1. Open the login page for your KoboToolbox server:

  2. Click Forgot password? on the login form.

  3. Enter the email address associated with your account.

  4. Click Reset Password.

KoboToolbox will send a password reset email to the address associated with your account. Open the email and follow the link to create a new password.

Note: If you request a password reset from the wrong KoboToolbox server, you will not receive a password reset email. Confirm that you are using the server where your account was created.

Troubleshooting

Multiple accounts linked to an email address

If multiple KoboToolbox accounts are associated with the same email address, you will receive a separate password reset email for each account.

Each email includes the username for the account. Check the username and use the reset link in the email that matches the account you want to access.


Did not receive password reset email

If you do not receive the password reset email, try the following steps:

  • Check your spam or junk folder: Your email provider may have placed the password reset email in your spam or junk folder.
  • Try another email address: You may have created your account with a different email address. Try again with another email address you may have used.
  • Check which KoboToolbox server you are in: KoboToolbox accounts are specific to the server where they were created. Check the URL in your browser's address bar and confirm that you are requesting the password reset from the correct server.

If you have tried all the troubleshooting steps above and still have not received the password reset email, contact support@kobotoolbox.org.

Use Password reset issues as the email subject and include:

  • Your username
  • The email address you used to create your account
  • The KoboToolbox server where you created your account
